Second fundraising campaign for Ukraine

Rankweil, 17.01.2023 - After a first relief action in May 2022 already met with great willingness to donate, employees of ALVÁRIS Profile Systems GmbH initiated another relief action in December last year.

The staff of ALVÁRIS and the participating partner companies used the Christmas season to collect numerous donations from family, relatives and acquaintances. The focus of the latest campaign was on donations in kind such as warm blankets, winter clothing, shoes, food, hygiene articles, medicines and candles. The latter is urgently needed in Ukraine, as the power supply is repeatedly interrupted.

Speaking on behalf of the ALVÁRIS team, Urszula Jäger emphasises: "With the support of personal contacts, the donations arrive directly where they are urgently needed." Jäger further emphasises: "The amount of willingness to help was also overwhelming in this renewed campaign."  

In addition to the numerous donations from the ALVÁRIS staff, the employees of the partner companies V-Consulting GmbH, Franz Breuss Technik and Expo Trans GmbH also supported the campaign and actively participated with a share of the transport costs and numerous donations in kind.

"If our support helps to alleviate the suffering of the needy people in Ukraine, we as a company are very happy to support this initiative," adds Manfred Filzmaier, managing partner of ALVÁRIS. Together with Expo Trans, the company is assuming the entire logistics costs, from handling and packaging to transport.

The proud result of the donation campaign is half an articulated lorry full of Euro pallets with a variety of useful and above all warming things. The consignment is first brought to Kokanin in Poland by a freight forwarder. From there, it continues by private transport to Worochta, a small town in western Ukraine. The final destination is both a children's home, where refugee children from Mariupol and Kharkiv have found refuge, and a local hospital.
