Change at the top of the ALVÁRIS Group
After 15 years, managing partner Manfred Filzmaier hands over the overall management of the ALVÁRIS Group to Franz Füchsl, the long-standing COO. This step completes the generational change in the management of the group that Filzmaier initiated some time ago, after the position of CSO was already filled in 2020 with Dr Markus Feil. Filzmaier will continue to work in the company and further expand the area of finance and controlling as CFO.
Rankweil, 04.07.2022 - Franz Füchsl has been appointed as the new CEO of the ALVÁRIS Group with effect from 01.07.2022. He succeeds Manfred Filzmaier, who acquired the group of companies in 2007 and has since successfully built and managed it.
This measure marks a further development phase for the international manufacturer of profile system and automation solutions, because, as Filzmaier states: "In recent years, the dynamics and complexity of the corporate environment have once again increased significantly. In order to enable company growth in the future, it is important to find promising answers to the new challenges. A timely planned and orderly handover to the next generation is of great importance to ensure continuity and to be able to lead the group of companies successfully into the future."
The group of companies defined a medium-term development strategy several years ago, the individual phases of which have been consistently implemented since then. In addition to organisational development and the realisation of synergy effects in the group, this also includes the technical realignment of the range of services. The most recent example is the market launch of a new generation of belt conveyors, which was presented at the LogiMAT 2022 trade fair.
Füchsl is looking forward to the new challenge and emphasises: "The development work within the framework of the COO function in recent years has been a very fulfilling task. Realising the development potential of ALVÁRIS from a group perspective, with the help of new technical and digital possibilities, is a fascinating perspective and an attractive challenge in my new role as CEO.
Digitalisation in particular will play an important role for ALVÁRIS, both in the context of process optimisation and in the development of the future range of services.
"To implement these challenging tasks, I know I have a strong, international team next to me," Füchsl continues. His international work and management experience as well as his training as an industrial engineer provide him with the necessary foundations for successfully fulfilling his new position.
